Drakonect has not appointed a Data Protection Officer: the activity does not meet any of the GDPR criteria that make appointment mandatory.

Drakonect works without a user account or application server. Your progress and anti-doomscrolling rules stay on your iPhone. With your explicit consent, pseudonymous product events are sent to PostHog to improve the app.

We deliberately do not write “no data is collected”: that would be inaccurate. PostHog, the App Store and our subscription provider may process certain data under the conditions described below.

Game progress

Level, experience, dragon mood, daily streaks, goals, inventory, care log, session history. Created and kept only on your device, in the app’s own storage.

Selection of apps to pause

Selection happens in the picker Apple provides. The system returns an opaque reference: Drakonect neither receives nor stores the readable names of the apps or categories you chose.

Current session state

A shared app group lets the Screen Time extensions know the state of the session and of the dragon, so the blocking screen can be shown in Drakonect’s colours. That storage stays on the device.

Settings

Daily goal, preferred session length, notifications, music, reduced animations, and anti-doomscrolling rules. Stored locally.

Drakonect never sees the content you browse. If anti-doomscrolling protection is enabled, iOS locally adds up time in your opaque selections during the chosen schedule. Drakonect only receives the events needed to warn at 8 minutes and apply the block at 10 minutes; it does not detect scrolling gestures.

PostHog starts only after your explicit consent in the app. If you decline, no analytics event is sent and Drakonect remains usable.

Data involved

Pseudonymous events relating to sessions, levels, streaks, onboarding, paywall and purchase flows, screen names, app lifecycle, and a technical identifier generated by PostHog. It is not linked to a Drakonect name, email, or account.

Data excluded

No selected app names, viewed content, anti-doomscrolling rules, detailed progress, session replay, or advertising identifier.

Purpose and legal basis

Understanding feature usage and improving the product, based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You may withdraw consent at any time in Profile > Privacy. Analytics then stops and the local technical identity is reset. Contact us to request deletion of events previously received by PostHog.

Events are kept for 30 days in PostHog, then deleted automatically. To request earlier deletion, write to us at the address given at the top of this policy.

On iPhone, only Apple’s Screen Time framework (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity) can pause apps. Drakonect requests that permission for one purpose only: applying the blocks you configured.

The permission is granted by you and stays on your device. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings, Screen Time, after which the app can no longer pause anything.

The related processing relies on your consent, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, given when you accept the system permission prompt.

The “Ancestral Bond” subscription is sold by Apple through App Store in-app purchases. Drakonect never sees your payment details.

Apple

Apple handles payment, billing, the free trial, renewal and cancellation, acting as controller for those operations. That processing is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

RevenueCat

RevenueCat is our subscription management provider and acts as a processor. It receives what is needed to verify your subscription state: an anonymous app-level identifier generated for your installation, the purchase receipt passed on by Apple, and standard technical data (platform, app version, store country). It does not receive your name, your email address or your game progress.

Legal basis: performance of a contract, within the meaning of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — this processing is necessary to give you the subscription you purchased.

This marketing site has no account or personal area. With your consent, it uses PostHog to measure page views and download-button clicks.

• No analytics starts before you accept the consent banner.
• No font is loaded from a third-party domain: fonts are served by the site itself.

Your language and analytics choices are stored in your browser’s local storage. Language is strictly functional. You can change the analytics choice at any time using the “Analytics preferences” button.

For security and reliability, the hosting provider keeps technical connection logs (IP address, timestamp, requested resource, user agent). That processing relies on the legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

The host’s technical logs are kept for one hour, then deleted automatically.

Accept and decline are presented at the same level. If you decline, PostHog is not initialised and the site remains fully usable.

PostHog is configured on its European collection endpoint. Apple, RevenueCat and PostHog’s own sub-processors may nevertheless involve transfers of data outside the European Union. Such transfers are covered by the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular standard contractual clauses.

Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and you may withdraw consent at any time.

Because game progress is kept only on your device, you can erase it from the Profile screen. The same screen lets you withdraw your consent to PostHog; to have events already sent deleted, contact us.

Drakonect is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data about minors. The applicable age rating is the one declared on the App Store listing.
